Company Brief
Terrestrial Energy USA Inc. is developing the Integral Molten Salt Reactor nuclear power plant (IMSR) for US deployment with a program focused on US NRC and National Laboratory engagement.
IMSR uses a molten salt reactor technology, a Generation IV technology within a proprietary reactor design. It represents true innovation for cost advantage, versatility and functionality of nuclear power generation. IMSR power plants will provide zero-carbon, reliable, dispatchable, cost-competitive electric power and high-grade industrial heat for use in many industrial applications, such as chemical synthesis and desalination, and in so doing extend the application of nuclear energy beyond electric power markets. IMSR power plant deployment will support rapid global decarbonization of the primary energy system by displacing fossil fuel combustion across a broad spectrum.
